Case 24 – Saxlinglingham Hall

Saxlinglingham Hall

Saxlingham Village Hall most likely emerged as a community facility in the early–mid 20th century, serving a parish with deep medieval roots, former manorial estates, and a long tradition of local civic life. The hall’s existence fits into a pattern of rural Norfolk villages establishing communal meeting spaces as parish councils, WI groups, and village societies grew in the 1900s.
